Backpocket (“the app,” “we,” “us”) helps owner-operated service businesses track quotes, jobs, invoices, and the revenue that needs attention. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
- Account. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
- Business data. The customers, jobs, quotes, change orders, invoices, and payments you enter. This is your data; we store it so the app can show your Money Queue and totals across your devices.
Information collected automatically
- Subscription status. If you purchase Backpocket Pro, the App Store tells the app whether your subscription is active. Purchases are processed by Apple — we never receive your payment card details.
- Security checks. Basic technical data needed to operate the app securely, such as an Apple app-attestation check that helps prevent abuse of our backend.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: sign you in, sync your data, and calculate your revenue queue and reports.
- We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to store your account and business data on our behalf, and Apple to process App Store purchases. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data until you delete it. You can permanently delete your account and all of your business data at any time from within the app: Reports → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your sign-in and your business data from our systems.
Children
Backpocket is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
