DecibelKit is built to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.
What stays on your device
DecibelKit uses your iPhone’s microphone to measure ambient sound levels in real time. Audio is analyzed on-device to compute a decibel reading and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. Your saved measurement sessions, history, calibration offset, and settings live only on your device and are never sent to us or stored on any server we control.
What we don’t do
- No account, sign-in, name, or email required.
- We do not record or store audio.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No analytics or behavioral tracking.
- We never sell or share your information.
In-app purchases
DecibelKit Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. To unlock and restore your purchase the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your purchase status — never your name, email, or other personal information, and never to track you across apps.
Accuracy
DecibelKit provides a consumer estimate of sound pressure level and is not a certified or calibrated measurement instrument. Do not rely on it for occupational, legal, or medical decisions.
Children
DecibelKit is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
